The History of Football
The history of football goes back to ancient civilizations. Some games with a ball and some target which can be described as primitive football, exists in the historical writings of China, Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Though the form of football that is common today’s dates back to the 19th century in the United Kingdom.
Like many other new games, football too emerged out of England. Football’s growth is traced to late 19th century when a new body, The Football Association (FA) came in to being and narrated the standardized rules of the game. football started becoming a more unified sport As the 1800s drew into a close, football began its expansion in scale to other parts of Europe as well as abroad.
The games played today bear a remarkable resemblance to its origins. It is played between 2 teams consisting of 11 players aiming outscore the opponent team by netting a ball into the net. rectangular playing area that contains 2 goal-posts at either end for the teams. Each match lasts for two times 45 minutes each with an interval of 15 minutes in between.
One of the attractive features of the game of football is that the rules are fairly straightforward.
